June Challenge: The End!
Whew! I made it! I embarked on the rather ambitious journey of taking an outfit photo every day in the month of June (at least, the days that I 'got dressed' for real).
Here's a few things I learned along the way:
- Outfit photos are hard! Finding a good spot to take them, posing in a way that doesn't look awkward, making sure everything looks consistent.
- Remembering to take photos, is hard, too! I will admit that it often feels like a chore, having to pause before I go out to snap a few quick shots.
- I was very surprised at how little I actually put on a real outfit. Granted, there were a few times where I did forget to snap a photo, but I was still surprised at the low number of outfits I put on. It was a very good reminder of how easy it would be for me to have a very small wardrobe, and gave me some great encouragement!
Here's some shots of the last few outfits I wore in June:
I found it! The striped top I've been searching for! And these shorts were mens jeans that I found and made into cutoffs. These two items are the newest additions to my summer wardrobe, and I think they just about complete it.
I think the biggest thing I've learned this past month is that I'm well on my way to having a wardrobe that I enjoy.
On Friday, July 7, Caroline from Un-Fancy and Lee from StyleBee will be starting their summer 10x10 challenge- a challenge where you choose 10 pieces and wear only those for the 10 day period. I've been following them both for a while now and really admire their styles. I've never felt ready to participate in their 10x10 challenges before (they do one each season), but this time, I think I'm ready! So stay tuned for friday- I'll be posting my 10 pieces and beginning the challenge on Monday. I hope you'll join me!
See you on Friday!
